PFAS are known as ‘forever chemicals” because their molecules contain a carbon-fluorine bond, one of the strongest known, making them hard for nature to break down.
They’re in our environment, food, drinking water, food packaging and products ranging from breathable outerwear to non-stick cookware. They’re in products used by industry, manufacturing, our military, and first responders. They cause harm to our bodies as we ingest them and cause harm to our environment as an indestructible pollutant—until now.
Onvector’s proprietary Plasma Vortex technology can reliably and cost-effectively break up PFAS molecules into harmless compounds and individual atoms. This is helping reduce contamination of our soil and groundwater, creating a more sustainable future.
Plasma Vortex Technology
Onvector’s technology destroys PFAS molecules by harnessing the fourth state of matter, plasma. Within the Plasma Vortex reactor, a voltage gradient is applied between two electrodes. This creates an electric field that strips electrons from the inflowing gas molecules, creating charged ions and releasing a plasma discharge. The ions, which are charged particles, are highly chemically reactive, and break down PFAS molecules into harmless byproducts like fluoride, sulfate, carbon dioxide and water.
Our Plasma Vortex technology is reliable, energy efficient and cost effective.
Today, Onvector is solving some of the most difficult water problems impacting human health and safety by destroying hazardous contaminants in groundwater and soil.
Through innovation advancement, Onvector is harnessing the power of cleantech to make an impact in your community.
