
Daniel Bustillos
Process Engineer
Daniel is a Process Engineer at the Greentown Labs facility, bringing a diverse technical background across biopharma, semiconductor, and battery materials.
Most recently, he worked as Unimelt Engineer at a startup specializing in microwave plasma applications, where he played a key role in building and developing multiple PFAS remediation prototypes. His work also included R&D projects in carbon nanotube (CNT) production, refractory powder spheroidization for additive manufacturing, and process optimization for LFP battery materials.
Daniel is a Veteran of the United States Navy Submarine Force, where he began his career serving aboard nuclear submarines for 8½ years. He deployed with the USS Helena (SSN-725) and later served as an instructor at Submarine School in New London, CT.
His unique combination of technical expertise, PFAS remediation experience, and background in high-paced R&D environments makes him well-suited to tackle the challenges of PFAS remediation.
