HyoungSup Kim, Ph.D.
Director of Process Development
Dr. Kim is Senior Research Scientist with Onvector. He leads the design, development, manufacturing, and validation testing of non-chemical water treatment systems. He is a fluid mechanics expert with strong experience in plasma water treatment.
Dr. Kim has published 16 original research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has led or participated in many research studies that have demonstrated the physical and chemical mechanisms by which arc plasma acts as a disinfection method for contaminated water.
Early in his career, Dr. Kim was a Design Engineer with Korea Heat Exchanger Industrial Co.
Dr. Kim received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics from Drexel University in 2016. He received a BS and a Master of Science in Mechanical Design Engineering from Jeonbuk National University in South Korea.
